Luciano Pavarotti (1935-2007) was a famous Italian tenor, born in Modena. He is rightly considered to be one of the most successful opera singers of all time, whose work is highly regarded even in the world of popular music. He is especially famous for the project "Three Tenors", which he created with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. It was the project, that had the honor to participate at the opening ceremony of the 1990 World Cup in Italy. His TV Concerts caused the enhancement of interest towards Luciano Pavarotti’s person, thanks to which, the Italian artist had sold a total of more than 100 million records and the first live record of "Three Tenors" became the best-selling classical music album of all time. He was also famous for collaborating with the Red Cross and charitable activities in general by which he helped refugees from different countries. The last years of his career are also known by collaboration with various famous performers, in the form of the project "Pavarotti and Friends". During his musical career, he had won 6 Luciano Pavarotti Grammy Awards.
